November, 1982. In the Soviet Union, Leonid Brezhnev, General Secretary of the CPSU Central Committee, died after a long illness. The entire country froze in anticipation of crucial changes… At this time of uncertainty, a young trainee, Alexander Turetsky, begins to work at the General Prosecutor’s office. The newcomer gets his first complicated case – murder of the Department Head of the Ministry of Foreign Trade. In the course of investigation it turns out that the victim was a KGB secret agent…
